The Role

We are seeking an Azure Data Solutions Architect to design and implement modern data platforms in the cloud. You will be responsible for creating and managing the architecture of advanced Azure-based solutions, enabling data sourcing, integration, modeling, analysis, and reporting. This role requires strong technical expertise, consulting experience, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure solution architectures to support modern data platforms.

• Develop cloud strategies, evaluate applications/hardware/software, and manage adoption processes.

• Create data models and architectures (DataFactory, Kimball, Inmon, DataVault 2.0, LakeHouse, Medallion).

• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion, validation, and quality processes.

• Build and maintain data dictionaries and catalogues.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement data management, systems management, and business continuity processes.

• Develop integration solutions including real-time, streaming, and data virtualization.

• Participate in RFP responses, technical documentation, and proposal preparation.

• Research emerging data and AI technologies and apply them to enterprise solutions.

• Ensure compliance with information security and governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DMBOK).

• Mentor teams and contribute to overall BI and cloud solution excellence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building cloud solutions.

• Proven experience with Azure (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks also valuable).

• Strong knowledge of ETL/BI tools, SQL, and Python.

• Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps (ADO, JIRA, Confluence, Release Management).

• Solid understanding of data management frameworks (e.g., DAMA / DMBOK).

• Experience in data modeling and architectures (Kimball, Inmon, DataVault 2.0, LakeHouse, Medallion).

• Knowledge of DataOps, MLOps methodologies.

• Background in consulting preferred.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

• Knowledge of information security principles.
