The Role
We are seeking a Salesforce Senior Developer to join our Consulting Customer team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will design and deliver enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions for clients across diverse industries. You will lead technical design discussions, mentor junior developers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on development expertise with leadership, innovation, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce technologies.

• Build and manage integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware tools.

• Create intuitive user experiences with custom Lightning components and pages.

• Design and implement automation using Flows, Process Builder, and Apex triggers.

• Write robust test classes and support continuous integration practices.

• Extend and customize standard Salesforce functionality through both configuration and code.

• Lead technical design sessions, translating business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Perform code reviews and enforce high standards for quality and documentation.

• Troubleshoot and optimize complex solutions for performance and reliability.

• Mentor and guide junior developers, enhancing the team’s technical capabilities.

• Collaborate closely with clients, ensuring business needs are met with innovative solutions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.

• Expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integration patterns.

• Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months). Architect-level certifications are advantageous.

• Experience with Salesforce DX and modern DevOps tools.

• Proven success in delivering enterprise-level Salesforce implementations.

• Strong communication and client-facing presentation skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Knowledge of complementary technologies such as MuleSoft, Heroku, or AWS is a plus.
