The Role
Join a leading company in the weighing equipment industry and kickstart your career as a Verification Officer Apprentice. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on technical training and mentorship, preparing you for a career in field service, technical verification, and engineering services. You will work across multiple regions in South Africa, supporting equipment installation, maintenance, and verification tasks in line with NRCS Quality Assurance Standards.
Location: Multiple hiring areas – Johannesburg, Randburg, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, George, East London, White River/Nelspruit
Salary: R6,000 per month (Basic)
Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site service calls, equipment installations, and preventative maintenance.

Perform scale verification and sealing in compliance with NRCS Quality Assurance Standards.

Install weighing software, test systems, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Deliver labels, collect payments, and provide technical support to customers.

Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Assist with sales of equipment or labels where necessary.

Submit reports to both the branch office and Helpdesk teams.
Requirements

Grade 12 with Mathematics or Physical Science (strict requirement).

Willingness to undergo 3-month in-house technical training.

Must qualify for NRCS appointment as a Verification Officer after training.

Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight when required.
