The Role
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to defined scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The role involves overseeing multiple large-scale projects, managing risks, and ensuring alignment to project governance frameworks and PMO methodologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities to drive successful delivery across diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, budget, and timeframes

Lead the delivery of multiple concurrent projects in alignment with scope, budget, and SLAs

Ensure compliance with project governance, including PMO tools, methodologies, and standards

Provide onsite leadership and motivation to project teams, resolving conflicts and ensuring milestone achievement

Monitor and report project performance, including overheads, capital expenses, deliverables, and timelines

Identify project risks and manage change requests to ensure delivery success

Drive continuous improvement by contributing to enhancements in project delivery processes

Collaborate across BCX Divisions and external partners to support business growth and market leadership
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

NQF Level 6: 3-year Degree/National Diploma in Computer Science or Business

OR NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) with relevant National Diploma
Experience

Option 1: 5 years’ relevant experience with Project Management certification

Option 2: 7 years’ relevant experience with Project Management certification (if lower academic qualification)

Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, PMBOK, or equivalent
