The Role
BCX is looking for a Strategy Planning and Execution Specialist to support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. The role is focused on assisting with strategic planning, industry research, scorecard development, and alignment of business unit (BU) plans to enterprise priorities. The ideal candidate will provide critical input into strategic workshops, environmental scans, and performance measurement—helping shape BCX’s strategic direction and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Planning Support

Contribute to the development and coordination of strategic planning activities

Assist in the design of submission templates and planning guidelines

Help prepare strategy overview documents consolidating insights across the business

Support the development of internal point-of-view documents for EXCO presentations
Industry and Market Research

Conduct global and local industry research, benchmarking, and environmental scans

Gather and analyze market trends, competitor moves, and operational shifts

Collate strategic insights from reputable global and industry-specific sources
Operational Alignment & Execution

Assist in planning and facilitating BU and enterprise-level operational planning sessions

Ensure alignment between BU operational plans and enterprise strategy

Support development and validation of EXCO performance scorecards aligned to strategic goals
Engagement & Facilitation

Coordinate logistics for strategic workshops and engagements (e.g., scheduling, agenda setting, collation of pre-reading materials)

Assist in quarterly business reviews and annual strategic planning engagements

Support the hosting and facilitation of knowledge-sharing and strategy champion forums
Strategic Documentation & Communication

Prepare input documents for Group Strategy and Board Pack submissions

Support the cascading of enterprise strategy into detailed BU operational plans

Assist in operationalizing strategy execution through structured communication and documentation
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
-
NQF Level 6: 3-year Degree or National Diploma in Information Technology
-
OR NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) with at least 7 years of experience in a strategic role
Preferred Qualifications
-
Additional qualifications in Strategy, Business, or Management Consulting would be an advantage
