SAVF Tzaneen is urgently looking for a committed and compassionate full-time Social Worker to join our dedicated team. If you're passionate about uplifting vulnerable communities and making a real impact, we want to hear from you!
The Role
As a Social Worker, you will play a central role in promoting community well-being by delivering statutory services, leading development initiatives, and supporting the elderly. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing statutory social work services

Facilitating group work, developmental programmes, and community projects

Recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers
-
Implementing business plan objectives aligned with organisational goals
-
Driving marketing, fundraising, and networking to grow community support
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
-
Registration with SACSSP (South African Council for Social Service Professions)
-
SAPS police clearance
-
Clearance from the Child Protection Register
-
Fluent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
-
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional resilience
-
A valid Code 08 driver’s licence
-
Experience in community development and aged care services
-
Good physical health
-
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
