The Role
INSETA, our sister SETA, is looking for dynamic, skilled, and committed professionals to join its mission of growing and transforming South Africa’s insurance and related services sector through quality learning programmes, partnerships, and sector skills development.
A variety of positions are currently open across different functional areas—including learning programmes, finance, compliance, ICT, research, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities (may vary depending on the role applied for)

Implement and monitor skills development programmes aligned with the NSDP and sector needs

Provide support in the administration of learnerships, internships, and bursaries
-
Monitor and evaluate funded programmes and stakeholder performance
-
Develop, analyse, and report on sector research and labour market intelligence
-
Ensure compliance with relevant SETA, DHET, and Treasury regulations
-
Support governance structures through accurate reporting and documentation
-
Coordinate stakeholder engagement and promote awareness of INSETA programmes
-
Contribute to strategic planning, policy implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualification:

A National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as:
-
Education and Training
-
Public Administration
-
Human Resource Development
-
Insurance and Financial Services
-
Information Technology
-
Finance or Auditing
-
Law or Compliance
-
Research or Economics
-
or a related discipline.

Experience:
-
1–10+ years of experience, depending on the position.
-
Prior experience in a SETA, regulatory body, or the education/training sector is highly advantageous.

Familiarity with the Skills Development Act, NSDP, PFMA, and SETA reporting frameworks is often required.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong communication and report writing abilities

Analytical and critical thinking skills

Knowledge of the insurance or financial services sector

Attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities
-
Proficiency in MS Office and digital systems relevant to the role

Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines under pressure
