The Role

We are seeking a strategic and creative Internal Communications Lead to champion internal messaging and employee engagement across the business. In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with executive leadership, HR, and business unit heads to ensure internal communications align with company values, culture, and strategic goals.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Shaping and executing an internal communications strategy that drives culture and engagement

• Crafting compelling, on-brand messaging that connects employees to business goals, values, and people strategy

• Managing communications for key initiatives, change programmes, leadership updates, and internal campaigns

• Writing and editing content for intranet, newsletters, email, video scripts, and executive messaging

• Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and clarity in internal messaging

• Using digital platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Teams, Canva) to deliver content in engaging and accessible formats

• Monitoring feedback and measuring the impact of internal communications to continuously improve outcomes

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• ✅ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, or related field (postgraduate degree preferred)

• ✅ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior internal communications role—experience in corporate, finance, or retail sectors is a strong advantage

• ✅ Proven ability to develop and implement impactful communication strategies

• ✅ Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills

• ✅ Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, including working with senior leaders

• ✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and Canva

• ✅ Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment

• ✅ A passion for culture, engagement, and communicating with purpose
