Position: NYS Participant – Phase IV
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Across South Africa (site-specific)
Stipend: Monthly stipend provided
Programme Managed By: National Youth Development Agency (NYDA)
The Role
As a participant in the National Youth Service (NYS) Phase IV Programme, you will engage in structured, meaningful community service activities that aim to uplift your community while gaining valuable work experience, life skills, and professional networks. This 6-month opportunity will require a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week. Participants will also receive a monthly stipend to support their participation.

Requirements
To be eligible for NYS Phase IV, you must meet the following criteria:

✅ Be a South African citizen
-
✅ Be aged between 18–35 years
-
✅ Be unemployed and not enrolled in education or training (NEET)

✅ Reside near the site of the implementing partner
-
✅ Be easily accessible to the service site

✅ Have not previously participated in any earlier phases of the NYS programme
